Vol. 5 No. 4, August 2018

Thanks to Ania Karwan, PAC – Southern California Division, for requesting a clarification in the August 2-18 edition of the PAC Newsletter. In one of the articles submitted – relating to National Directors – the newsletter states, “The governing body of the PAC is the Council of National Directors, consisting of directors elected by their respective State Divisions or National Organizations and up to 10 at-large directors elected by the Council (emphasis added). Day-to-day operations are conducted by the Executive Committee (officers) elected by the Council of National Directors for a two-year term.”

The phrase in bold is incorrect. The 10 Directors-at-Large are appointed by the National President and confirmed by the Executive Council. This can be found in Article V Section 1 of the PAC Bylaws. The Executive Council, as defined in Article III Section 6, is composed of the Executive Committee and the Presidents of the State Divisions.

The information will be correct in future issues of the newsletter. Thank you for understanding.

Sincerely,
Mark Pienkos
PAC Vice President for Public Relations
